About

The scheduling tool for Heroes & Cool Kids.

Program Hub is scheduling software built by Here Comes the Dreamer for organizations that run programs inside schools. This is the Heroes & Cool Kids instance — where their school coordinators book visits, confirm dates with trainers, and keep their program roster in one place.

Who runs this

Program Hub is a product of Here Comes the Dreamer, which builds software for organizations working in schools. Heroes & Cool Kids is the program running on it here, and owns the information in it.

Heroes & Cool Kids is a nonprofit student leadership and mentoring program. High school students — the Heroes — are trained to mentor younger students, the Cool Kids, in their own district. The program works on bullying, peer pressure, substance use, and the everyday reasons a young person decides they have nowhere to turn.

The program has been running in New Jersey and New York schools for more than two decades, and works with over fifty districts. Full information about the program, its team, and its results is at heroesandcoolkids.org.

What the Program Hub does

It is a scheduling and coordination tool — not a classroom product, and not something students log into.

  • School coordinators request visit dates for the year, see what has been confirmed, and update their roster counts.
  • Program staff confirm those dates, assign a trainer to each visit, and keep track of contracts across every partner school.
  • Trainers see the visits assigned to them, confirm they can attend, and log travel for reimbursement.

Who signs in

Only adults: school coordinators and administrators, Heroes & Cool Kids staff, and the program's trainers. Accounts are created by the program, not by self sign-up.

Students and parents do not have accounts here. When a student signs up for the program or a parent gives photo permission, the school shares a direct link for that one form. There is nothing for a student to log into and nothing for them to browse.

Student information and privacy

The Hub holds the minimum needed to run a school visit — roster counts, participating students' names and grades, and the school contacts responsible for the program. It carries no advertising, no third-party tracking, and no analytics, and student information is never sold or shared for any purpose outside the program.

The full detail — exactly what is stored, where it is hosted, how long it is kept, and how to have it deleted — is on the student data & privacy page.

For school IT departments

If this site is blocked on your network, it is almost certainly filed under the wrong category rather than flagged as unsafe — it is scheduling software for an education nonprofit your district already partners with.
